Bad Blogger

Currently listening to: Background noise

Wow, long time no see. Ok, so Europe was fantastic although we probably caught a pretty bad heatwave. In short:

Venice: Nice to see once, but we won't be coming back

Florence: Beautiful, our favorite city visited. We hope to come back and see other parts around Florence

Rome: Flippin' hot...besides that, all the major landmarks are here and it is quite surreal to see them in person.

Athens: Same thoughts as Venice (was also VERY hot)

Mykonos: Beautiful and relaxing

Santorini: Most beautiful of all...can't even begin to describe the sunsets here.

Have a short weekend trip to Seattle coming up. Never been, but I am sure it will be fun. I am stocking up on my vacations now as I have a full load with school (15 units!) and work next semester...ugh.

I'll just try and remember these images as I suffer in homework hell:

The beautiful city of Florence

The best Cappucinos ever!

A Santorini sunset...

Okay, one more Santorini sunset...

Feeling this relaxed and content :)

Sunsets can set your mood

Currently listening to: The Blower's Daughter - Damien Rice

It's great when you have a long weekend. What can be greater than that? A sunset...

Here's what I saw tonight about 7:04pm:

Awww... puts you in the right mood doesn't it? Had to pull over and capture it.

So glad we get tomorrow off...

Bad Blogger

Currently listening to: My fingers on the keyboard

Wow - long time no see my friendly blog. I'll try and be better...no guarantees though.

Let's see - two movies watched this past weekend: Spiderman 3 and Shrek the Third. I'm sorry to say folks, but keep your money and wait for DVD... or TV for that matter.

I saw Spiderman on the IMAX, and although the action sequences were good...the rest could have used major help. Not enough build-up of the villains...and too many villains. Shrek was entertaining and had it's funny moments - but not much of a storyline to hold it together. Oh well - we had our movie popcorn and that's what counts.

School's out and I am taking the summer off. We plan to vacation to Italy and Greece - I can't wait.

Weird Dreams

Currently listening to: Fidelity - Regina Spektor

A Happy President's day to all and belated Chinese New Year....

I slept in today until 9:40am and it was great. However, had some pretty weird dreams. Like I was going to college and living on campus in a dorm room that looked like a hotel room and one of my teachers was Claire Huxtable....yeah you heard me right.... Don't know what to inerpret from that one.

Today I really need to get my presentation together for my Abnormal Psych class but I am in a lazy mood. Maybe I just need a good dose of caffeine.

Coast to coast and back

Currently listening to: The TV in the background...

Wow - so glad to finally be home. Took a trip last night on a red-eye flight after class to Charlotte, North Carolina. Had a couple meetings scheduled there today. Unfortunately when I arrived, what was forecast as "flurries" turned in to a few inches of snow - a record as a matter of fact for Charlotte and surrounding areas. All schools were closed and so were most businesses. Seeing this on the news, I still tried proceeding to my meeting. So while most of the residents were having fun on their snow day:

This is what I was enduring while trying to still cling to hope that my meetings were actually going to happen:

I did make it to the client safely - but the meetings were cancelled as most people stayed home because of the weather. I did see about 8 accidents on my very short trip from the airport to the client.
I quickly decided to book a trip back to San Francisco right away instead of staying the night - afraid it would freeze over. That was an ordeal in itself - barely made a connection in Phoenix running like heck to catch my flight. Screaming kids sitting behind me. And for all my flights, I probably slept a total of 2 hours. Cranky cranky...
So here I am, back home. Spent a whopping four hours in Charlotte. They want me to come back next week for a reschedule - I think I need to rest before deciding on that one....

We are Dreamgirls...

Currently listening to: Fergaliscious - Fergie

Just saw Dreamgirls tonight... It had much better acting then I thought. However, I am puzzled as to why Jennifer Hudson would be considered a "supporting" actress? She's the main chracter in the movie! Interesting. For those of you a little weary about seeing a "musical", most of the music in the movie is in the performances. So yes, they do converse - no snapping singing and dancing the entire time.

Yesterday went to see Babel... and after seeing a movie like that last night - you need something musically uplifting like Dreamgirls for today.

It's raining, it's pouring... okay maybe just misting

Currently listening to: Steady As She Goes - The Raconteurs

Man - gloomy day. Rained practically all day today. Although I don't mind the rain too much, it just becomes an inconvenience when commuting.

Didn't do much for my b-day/Halloween except eat lots of candy. My dog, however, dressed up:

He doesn't look too happy in these pictures I know - but isn'the cute as a chicken? Don't worry - he received many treats for the torturous 5 minutes in costume.

Sunday at Starbucks

Currently listening to: Whatever is playing on Starbuck's soundtrack...

Here at Starbuck's on a Sunday getting work done. Damn VPN isn't working from home again... oh well - used my gift card to try the new Maple Macchiatto - not too bad. Secretly - no, okay PUBLICY - I really prefer Peet's coffee because, well, it tastes better to me. But, Starbucks is a little easier where I live to set-up work camp... so be it.

We were discussing this yesterday - between friends. Why Starbucks? Many agree the coffee isn't spectacular. However, at the end we came to the agreement that no matter what Starbuck's you go to - you always know what you're going to get. True dat!

Oh - watched Flavor of Love 2 last week... he picked Deelishious... AND Jefferey won Project Runway - wow!

Another Wedding Saturday

Currently listening to: John Mayer - Dreaming With a Broken Heart

Ahhh... the weekend is finally here. Today - another wedding to go to. This time, in the beautiful city of San Francisco. This is going to be a big one, I hear 400 guests...yikes!

Splurged on a pair of shoes yesterday- thinking of breaking them in at the wedding today. They are a spike-heeled BCBG number... ALMOST went for this pair of boots with fur trim, but definately need a second opinion on that one. Don't want to look like I should be fishing in Alaska or something :)

Two of my time-wasters merge!

Currently listening to: KT Tunstall - Heal Over

Yep - my current internet vices have become one: Google has bought YouTube.

Now with all the copyright stuff going into place, I wonder if we'll get to see clips from our favorite TV shows, movies, etc. without paying? Hmmm...

On another note, we can all breathe a sigh of relief because Paris and Nicole are friends again...ick.

Guilty Pleasures....

Currently listening to: Al Green - Love and Happiness

Yep - we all have them... Maybe my Yumi Yogurt craving, maybe my Kelly Clarkson CD... but my guiltiest pleasure of all as of late is Flavor of Love 2 . That's right, the sequel to the first season of Flavor of Love. You're watching it, and you say in your mind "this is terrible" and yet you keep flipping back in between commercials to see what happens next.

I did learn from the show that Flavor Flav has 6 children....yikes....

Sheryl Crow & John Mayer rock!

Currently listening to: John Mayer - In Repair

Went to the Sheryl Crow & John Mayer concert last night in Mountain View...paying for lack of sleep today.

We had 8th row seats right smack in the middle. I have never had seats so close before at a concert - and for the price it was all worth it! (BTW, with these type seats you see the older women who dress in clubbing clothes hoping they get John Mayer's attention and teenyboppers doing the same...people watching in this section was very interesting to say the least)

Sheryl Crow did great to start things off and got the crowd pumped up. We stood on our feet for practically all of John Mayer's set. That boy can play guitar like a badass... no really!!! Serious.

Here's some pics I caught without trying to be caught taking them...

Ahhh...2nd wedding of the year

Currently listening to: Justin Timberlake - SexyBack

Just went to the 2nd wedding of the year today at the beautiful Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, CA. Very sweet couple. It was a chilly night and the wedding and reception were outdoors, but we managed with some heaters they put out. Later we all went indoors for dancing an dessert.

Ever play Karaoke Revolution on PlayStation? Well it is the funnest game ever (once you get over your shyness)... I know alot of people have it out there, they just don't want to admit it.

Fall is sneaking in....

Currently listening to: Beyonce - Ring the Alarm

Do you know how I can tell? Gotta' close the windows at night, it's too chilly. Took my dog Tank to the dog park and I needed a sweater... ah yes, it will be here before we know it. But that means cute boots and fuzzy sweaters to wear, yay!

So last night, totally random, decided to try out this place in downtown San Mateo - Jeffrey's Hamburgers. It's a 50's style joint much like Mel's... but this burger was GOOD. Had garlic fries as a side (they put lots of fresh garlic on top - which I don't mind because I LOVE garlic), but the BEST was the chocolate shake... mmm mmmm mmmm.... I am getting hungry again just thinking about it.

It's Monday - enough said

Currently listenting to: Augustana - Boston

For those peeps in the working world... does anyone really like Mondays? "Sounds like a case of the Mondays to me..."

Had some Yumi Yogurt for lunch - it's da' bomb! (Brazilian Chocolate & Vanilla Kiss). Yeah I know, not too nutritious and in an hour, I will be starving for dinner... but it's oh so worth it. BTW - how do some people order anything bigger than a small? They are HUGE... and I see some people eating the quart-size on the way out the door....

Football Sundays = Lazy Sunday Naps

Currently listening to: KT Tunstall - Under the Weather

Yep - you got me. I am not one of those people keeping up with fantasy stats nor am I a hardcore fan of any team. Watching football actually oozes me into a light slumber for half hour increments throughout the day. And I don't know if it's just knowing that Sunday is here, but I also tend to sleep in. Well I finally got my lazy ass up to take a shower and get dressed for the day.... so what if it's 3 in the afternoon?

I typed in John Mayer on YouTube.com yesterday as I am going to his concert next week (wanted to see if anyone had clips of him and Sheryl Crow as of recent). What I came across were some pretty funny clips... but check out this one with JM and Kanye West:

Oh where did the weekend already go?

Currently listening to: Mat Kearney - Nothing Left to Lose

Dragged out of bed this morning at 8:15... It's now 4:22pm and I this is my first chance to sit down. Oh where oh where does the day go when you have errands to run???

Funny video clip sent to me yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdXgYYmPlao

The beginning

Currently listening to: Joshua Radin - These Photographs

My first post... ahhhh. I have been sucked into the blogging world, but the question is, will I keep up?

Just got through with a sh*tload of homework for my Chinese class since I have been on vacation the last 3 weeks (in China no less!). Needless to say, I've got ALOT to catch up on. Here's just one page of the writing part due

tomorrow,

there are 8 pages total....

Obviously I have procrastinated.

Tomorrow is Friday, yay! Still somehow, our weekend schedule is suddenly packed with things to do.

I know I shouldn't be staying up this late, but sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day... *sigh*
