Sunday at the park

Sunday morning we headed up to one of our favorite spots, Coyote Point in San Mateo. This time, we were joined by Chris, Kathleen, & Teagan, who decided to tag along and we had a fun time watching the kids run around. Max is now in the same class as Teagan in preschool, so it was nice to see them get along outside of school too. :) And where did we hit up lunch at? You guessed it...Chipotle of course.

Boy did the weekend fly by. Thanks for joining us for a playdate. It's always entertaining with these guys around!

Chuck E Cheesy bday

Saturday we had the pleasure of attending Emma's 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Oh...my... god, you guys...it is total chaos! I think Max thinks that every time we want to play anything now we have to stick a token in. Leon called it "a casino for kids" and with all the lights, noise, decor, etc. it sure did feel like it. Lol.

Max had a SUPER fun time though. He was one of the youngest troopers, so I wasn't sure how he would be. He LOVED the mechanical rat singing, even though I thought he may be scared. And when Chuck E. Cheese made a personal appearance at Emma's table, Max was ecstatic! He stole Emma's thunder a bit when she got up with Chuck E. Cheese to sing a song and dance with him. Max danced the entire time right in front of them.

Happy bday Emma! Thanks for having us along.

Latte anyone?

Max has been really into making coffee for us on our espresso machine. He's pretty good at it and even knows that mommy takes milk and sugar while daddy doesn't.

It's official - we have a pre-schooler

Last Monday, Max started preschool! What a big step for our little guy. He still has a little anxiety at drop off, but slowly he is transitioning well. When I come to pick him up at the end of the day, he's babbling all about what he did (50% I understand then nod & smile for the rest).

It was a big step for us too to see this kiddo growing up so fast! I even snuck in on day three to watch him play outside & it was the cutest thing to see this big boy hanging with the other kids and playing. I am so proud of Max and I am happy he's doing so well with it.

Here's a couple pics from his first day.

A little pool time with the Paulsons

On the 11th the Paulson's headed up with the kiddos to meet us at the JCC in Palo Alto. They have a really cool indoor pool for kids. While Henry & Max played in the pool with their Dads, us girls chilled poolside. I didn't get too many clear pics because these boys were always in action - surprise surprise! It's always so fun to hang out with the Paulson 5 :)

Clare's Dol Celebration!

On the 4th of August we headed up to Brisbane to celebrate the 1st birthday for little Clare. What was cool is it is the first Dol Celebration Leon and I had ever been to. Unfortunately we didn't get to stay for the whole ceremony, but it was all good food and good fun :)

Children's Discovery Museum with Nai Nai

On Nai Nai's last day here, we decided to take a trip to the Children's Discovery Museum. They had a special Clifford the Dog exhibit which Max seemed to thoroughly enjoy.

Thanks for visiting Nai Nai! We hope to see you again soon! :)
